Just a Few Idaho Attractions

Idaho has so many different things to see and do that it’s nearly impossible to come up with a list of the most popular attractions. There’s the splendor of the outdoors and the refined cultural programs of the more urban areas. The best thing about becoming an Idaho travel nurse is that you’ll be able to take the time to explore every corner of the state and indulge in every type of activity. If you feel like a dose of history or culture, Idaho has it. If you prefer to explore and discover natural sights, Idaho has that, too. Here are just a few of the attractions that visitors head to Idaho to experience:

  1. Hells Canyon National Recreation Area—The rugged terrain in this recreation area is some of the most spectacular in the country. With more than 200,000 acres of wilderness, three rivers and miles of trails, this river gorge provides all sorts of outdoor fun, from challenging to relaxing.
  2. Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument—Just outside Twin Falls is this amazing repository of Pliocene-aged fossils, including saber tooth cats, Hagerman horses, peccaries, mastodons, bears, ground sloths and more.
  3. Fort Hall Replica—Learn about history in a real-world recreation of the fort with actor/guides portraying trappers, soldiers, Native Americans and pioneers. Visit the museum to see relics, artifacts and antiques on display.
  4. Snake River Dayz—Held annually, this premiere festival includes a rodeo, fair, carnival, live music, golf tournaments, fun runs and much more. It’s a classic Western-themed celebration and demonstrates pride in Idaho heritage. (Nampa)
  5. World Center for Birds of Prey—This conservation center is home to many rare and endangered species of birds, with well-known residents including the Peregrine falcon and California condor.
